The Academic Research Guide Association (ARGA) provides Travel Grants for its Lifetime and Extended Members who wish to attend research conferences outside their residing country. The grant is aimed at promoting research and development in technical education by giving opportunities for meritorious members of ARGA to interact at the international level. Eligibility requires the applicant to be a Lifetime or Extended Member of ARGA under any category, and must not have received grants towards travel expenditure for any Conference/Seminar/Symposium held abroad within the last three years. The financial assistance is in the form of a Token Travel Grant, which reimburses up to 90% of the travel expenses (Days of conference – Two more days for Journey) on a reimbursement basis. The grant is available only to those who have not received any travel grants in the last three years. Applicants should submit their proposals at least three months prior to the conference or event. A fee of GBP 5 will be charged for the evaluation of Grant Form, which is non-refundable. The recipient of the grant must be a full-time employee or student or researcher of any organization and should have a No-Objection Certificate. The proposals must reach the Council four months before the conference dates. The grant shall only be used to meet the travel expenses to attend the International Seminar/Conference/Symposium/Workshop abroad. The grant cannot be used for any other purposes. Incomplete applications will not be entertained. The application should include a copy of the seminar announcement, a letter of confirmation for paper presentation/chairing the session/keynote address/any other, and clearance from the conference organizers for speakers and session chairs. Tickets must be booked precisely 90 days before the conference and not more than 120 days in advance. Submitting the application form alone does not guarantee approval of the grant. ARGA will not be responsible for any loss without the approval of the council. Scholars who do not have published papers in refereed journals may not be considered for the grant.
